Weekly Weigh-in

This week I lost another 3 pounds!!! I am now down 30.2 pounds. My goal for the MayDay challenge had been 20 pounds and with another few weeks to go I am excited to see where I will be.

I bought a new outfit this weekend to wear to church. It is 4 sizes smaller than what I was wearing in May. Happy dance happening here. What was even better? I was able to bless two women from church with clothes I no longer need. I told RacerDad to be prepared to see me in the same few outfits over and over. I can't see buying a bunch of new clothes since I don't plan on staying this size for long.

Challenges for me...it is hard to journal every meal. I have the journal sitting right on my counter, but invariably I get busy and forget to jot it down. I am also feeling a little water logged. Water has never been my favorite beverage and at times I just don't want to drink it. I know I should and force myself but I would like hints on making water more "fun" to drink.

30.2 pounds is fantastic! Good for you!

I'm not sure how to make water fun...maybe you could add a bit of Crystal Light to it to make it flavored.

I keep a 24 oz. container of water at my desk each day and I find that I just grab it and drink it without really thinking.

Keep up the good work!

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

Doesn't it feel good to buy clothes with a smaller number on the tag? :)

I enjoy drinking iced tea. You can mix regular decaf tea with a flavored tea, like peach, and sweeten with a little bit of splenda. VERY refreshing! (That's what I'm going to go do now. I also get bored with water!)

4 sizes down is amazing and 30lb lost is even more amazing! I am so glad I am a part of this challenge and can read others stories and be inspired by them. Thank you for sharing.

Julie, you are doing such a fantastic job! Congrats on the new size! Keep up the great work. I love drinking water, so I'm no help there. I can't stand adding things to it - makes me more thirsty. Path to Health

That's awesome! 30+ pounds and 10 more pounds than your goal? 4 sizes smaller?? GREAT JOB!!

For the water, try freezing some berries into ice cubes...the flavor will increase as the ice melts.

Also, caffeine free diet pop is considered water (at least as far as WW is concerned). Have a can a day and that'll replace 12 oz of water. I like Diet Rite for the fruity flavors.

Julie,

Congratulations! I am so excited for you and can't wait to applaud you when you reach your final goal!

Do you think it would be acceptable to drink herbal tea? Without the sugar, of course. Then you could get double benefits. The water, and the herbs.

Love,
Becca

That's really great work. As for spicing up water, Celestial Seasonings has these Zingers to Go packets that are tea - mostly herbal in powdered form. All natural ingredients but no calories.
Also, I am your Knit 1 Tea 2 Buddy saying hello!

Congratulations! I have some clothes that are on their way out, too. Doesn't it feel good to get rid of them?

I wrote about that here:

Way to go girl! I learned to like water by finding a bottled water i enjoyed the flavor of and serving it cold to myself. Try some I like orzaka spring and i get ti in 8 oz servings jsut enough fro mr to finish is one sitting and not expand my stomach. I lost 20 pounds that way.
good to hear your good news. how is your school year going to be.
