Works for Me - Snack Idea

My family loves homemade pancakes and we have them quite often. Of course there are always a few leftover pancakes. Never enough for another breakfast and no one likes them heated up anyway. But my frugal side just hates to throw away good food, so I would put them in a baggie and save them. They would sit there a couple of days and then get thrown away until I tried spreading Nutella on them. Now my boys love leftover pancakes...who knew that a little smear of Nutella on a cold pancake would be the hit of snack time?!

All I can say is ... mmmmmm .... Nutella. I have a jar in the cupboard just for when I get those chocolate cravings! A spoonful does the trick :)

As a kid my mom would do the same thing, but with PB. To this day I'd rather have it that way! Great tip!

Thanks for the tip! I've never tried Nutella, but it looks like I'm going to have to now!

I love Nutella too. That would be perfect on leftover pancakes. I may keep this secret to myself instead of sharing with the kids!

Hmmm- if I ever have leftover anything around here (teenaged boy in residence) I'll have to try that; we had a German exchange daughter who turned me onto Nutella.
The "Clown Socks" are quite something- too bad you'll have to wait 'til Fall to wear them. I'm finishing my first toe-up socks & they're not too bad- the heel turn was the most confusing part for me, but the ability to custon fit w/o worrying about running out makes it worthwihile.
